On Sunday evening I had a quick little portrait session with my nieces Meghan & Lindsay. My sister has been wanting to do real close up portraits of the kids for her wall in the living room. We decided to do this while at my dad's house this weekend. I just wanted to share a few images from the shoot! Enjoy...
Introducing Linette LoConte! Linette shot this entire engagement session on Sunday by herself and I am so proud of her. The only image that I took is the first one with the reflection in the glasses. That is something I've been wanting to do for a long time! It was a hot and muggy day but we managed to fight through the weather and get some great images. We shot at this great property that the family owns in Newburyport, MA. It has a very rustic and wooded feel which made for awesome pictures. Linette is actually shooting their wedding this September at the same location! I'm really excited to see how awesome of a job she does. I hope she doesn't put me out of business! :) She has been wanting to get into kid photography and I am sure she will start filling up her schedule soon! It's great having the best wife in the world... :)
On Saturday I had the honor of shooting Meaghan & Jon's wedding in Halifax, MA. They both serve this country well as members of the U.S. Military and actually met overseas during active duty. They got married at the Monponsett Inn which is a beautiful venue right on the water and I highly recommend it for anyone still looking. The food was AMAZING! Meaghan & Jon live out of state so we never actually got to meet before the wedding but everything fell together perfectly. There are so many great photo locations at the Monponsett Inn and I think we took advantage of just about all of them! I'm really happy with the results and I cannot wait to finish them up. The LUCKY couple is honeymooning in Jamaica and I can't wait to show them these samples when they return home. Enjoy!
On Friday Linette and I had the wedding of Jill & Shelly. The happy couple got married at the Nahant Country Club in Nahant, MA. I've been shooting there often lately which is nice since it's so close to home. I remember when I first met Jill & Shelly at Panera Bread (of course) They were extremely nice to me and just so awesome to be around. Their personalities reflected very well on their wedding and everything was just so great. It was definitely a great wedding to be a guest at and even to work at. The ceremony was supposed to take place outside but due to crappy weather we had to move it inside. I think the ceremony being inside in a smaller room really added to the day and it was great to be able to capture the emotions of everyone all at once. I really hope we get to see Jill & Shelly again. Linette and I enjoyed them so much!
This weekend I had the wedding of Christine & Dennis. The ceremony and reception took place in Nahant, MA which was fantastic for me since I live 5 minutes down the road. I had such a great time at their wedding and the DJ kept the dance floor packed all night which made for some great pictures! I have worked at the Nahant Country Club before and it was great to see everybody again. I'm actually shooting another wedding there on Friday. Both of their families were so nice to me and the brides father really knew how to get down with his daughter on the dance floor. I'm really excited to work on these pictures and I hope everybody enjoys the samples posted above! Another busy weekend coming up with a wedding on Friday and Saturday along with an engagement shoot on Sunday. Stay tuned for more updates!
Today I had a great engagement session with Diana & Rodney. As you can see from the pictures above they also brought their dog along for the shoot and boy was he adorable. He was very well behaved and a natural when it came to posing for pictures! We had a perfect day weather wise and shot at Beacon Hill and the Boston Common. The happy couple plans for a fall wedding this October and I can't wait to document their big day! Their dog is actually going to be included in their wedding as well so I'm sure that will make for some very cute pictures! Stay tuned this October for more of Diana & Rodney! On Wednesday I shot the engagement pictures of Chrissy & Justin. They are actually already married but are having the actual wedding next June. Justin is in the military so planning the wedding has proven to be a little bit difficult due to his deployment overseas. The weather was gorgeous and we shot at two great locations: Fenway Park and Castle Island in South Boston. We spent the entire afternoon together and had a great time. I'm really happy with the results and I have already received great compliments from Chrissy's family! I cannot wait to work with them again on their wedding day. Last weekend Linette and I had the pleasure of shooting Eileen & Andrew's wedding. The happy couple got married at the Atlantica restaurant in Cohasset, MA. The venue was gorgeous and overlooked a beautiful harbor. Andrew is a very talented musician and his band got up there to play a few songs during the reception which we both enjoyed very much! Eileen's mother and father both enjoy cruising so it was very cool to see all of their vacation photos scattered throughout their house. For those of you who don't know us well Linette and I have become somewhat addicted to cruising ever since our honeymoon. We had such a great time and are already planning a date night back to the Atlantica restaurant.
On Sunday I had the great pleasure of shooting the engagement pictures for Jesse & Joseph. I have worked with Jesse a few times in the past shooting her modeling pictures and I couldn't wait to work with her again once I heard she was engaged! We shot at the campus of Boston College where both Jesse and Joseph go to school. The weather was amazing and we really had some perfect lighting to work with. There was actually another photographer there shooting engagement pictures for another happy couple. They happen to walk by us while I was laying on the ground trying to get some really creative angles so that made for a great first impression! :) We spent about an hour and a half walking around campus and did three different outfit changes. I'm really happy with the pictures and I hope to work with Jesse more in the future once school calms down for her. I've had such a busy weekend and I've got a long week of picture editing ahead of me! Another wedding coming up on Saturday... Stay tuned! :)
This 4th of July turned out to be wonderful. I had the great opportunity to shoot the wedding of Savannah & Matthew. As you can probably tell from the pictures Matthew is a Sgt. in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has also received the purple heart for his services overseas. The wedding took place at the Harris Pelham Inn in Pelham, NH. The ceremony took place outside on a beautiful open lawn and the reception was just inside in a very spaceish ballroom. The food was really good and tasted just like a homecooked meal. The band Prospect Hill performed a few acoustic songs for the happy couple and I would highly recommended seeing them live. The wedding was beautiful and the DJ had everybody dancing the entire night. Everybody was so nice to me and it was really a pleasure to be there. I'm super happy with how the formals came out along with the more intimate shots of the bride and groom. It has been a very busy weekend and it's not over yet! Off to another engagement shoot we go... Check back soon! :)
On Friday night Linette and I attended the wedding of Kathleen & Kurt. I've been waiting for this one ever since I've become friends with the both of them (gotta love Facebook!) The ceremony and reception both took place at the Andover Country Club in Andover, Ma. My sister got married here many years ago which made it even more fun for me. We showed up about 3 hours before the ceremony which gave us really good time to get some great getting ready shots. The ceremony took place outside and the weather ended up being perfect for it. After the ceremony we headed over to the garden and got some excellent shots of the wedding party and family members. After their introductions into the ballroom the party definitely got started! We are so happy for the both of them and I really hope that we get to see them again in the future. I went ahead and posted just a few pictures above for everyone to enjoy. I don't want to spoil the fun for the happy couple! :)
This past Saturday afternoon was definitely one of the coolest weddings that I've shot so far. Nancy & Michael got married at the Ye Olde Tavern in West Brookfield, Ma. Their ceremony took place right on the dance floor at the same location as the reception so that made it a lot easier for everyone. Our wedding was actually the same way in Iowa! Also they got dressed on the 2nd floor of the actual building so I pretty much just had to travel to one location for the entire day! The highlight of the wedding seemed to be the entertainment which was provided by the rock cover band TigerLily. They really rocked the place and I really enjoyed their drummer as he was definitely on his game. I really had such a great time with Nancy & Michael and I can't thank them enough for their kindness to me on their big day! I'm hoping to get more of their pictures on the website soon! Enjoy...
On Friday the 26th we had the wedding of Jennifer & Robert. The ceremony took place at a small church in Reading, Ma and the reception was held at Angelica's in Middleton, Ma. Through the years I must have drove by Angelica's 5,000 times on my way to the driving range (my golf game still isn't where I want it to be) so I was excited to finally shoot there. The wedding turned out to be beautiful and their DJ was really good. They used Michael Dinsmore from Makin' Entertainment. He really got the party started and I would recommend him to anybody! During the reception the happily married couple and I got to sneak out and take some really great pictures by the staircase outside of the ballroom. It was great working with Jennifer & Robert along with their families who were so nice to me. I'm excited to finish up these pictures and get more of them on the website. We had another wedding the next morning in West Brookfield, Ma and I will get those up on the blog as soon as I can. Wedding season has arrived! :)
